Belknap was situated right next to the roaring McKenzie River. At night the sound of whitewater charging fifty feet away was awesome. The campground had a huge pool like you would find at the YMCA but this was heated by a hot spring. Lovely
The bike trails were narrow and all too often ran inches from 40 foot cliffs but were fun. The hikes to Blue Pool and Sahalie Falls were epic. We stayed two days. Lastly we kayaked / stand up paddle boarded on Clear lake. They say it is the clearest lake in the world and I believe it. You could see decades old logs fifty feet below the surface.
