We love Henry Horton

Maybe it’s because of the beautiful woods, or perhaps it is the quiet,but we really enjoyed Henry. We went bike riding till dark, took showers In the campground bath house and spent the rest of the night decorating the Pup for Christmas and playing cards.

On leaving Chicago, my daughter sent us off with some of her world famous shepards pie. Even as leftovers, it was amazing.

Snow melting down a small sapling and then freezing. Beautiful.

Tomorrow we will be at Oak Mountain Alabama and look forward to warmer temps, (tonight it will drop down to at least 19 degrees) and a nice fishing lake. Oak mountain is Alabama’s largest park.

We got up early the next morning. At daybreak we watched deer close by and made breakfast outside. It was 16 degree, crystal clear and wonderful.
